This medication is used to treat open-angle glaucoma or high fluid pressure in the eye. Lowering high fluid pressure in the eye reduces the risk of vision loss, nerve damage, or blindness. This medication lowers pressure by allowing better fluid drainage from within the eye and also by reducing the amount of fluid formed in the eye. It is known as an alpha agonist. How to use?
Alphagan P works by reducing the amount of fluid in the eye, thereby decreasing the pressure inside the eye. It is an eye drop medication used to lower intraocular pressure in individuals with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
How to use?
Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper with the tip down, above the eye. Look up and away from the dropper, then squeeze out a drop. Close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes, keeping your head tipped down without blinking or squinting. Gently press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct.
