About the product

What is Patanol eye drop used for? Patanol eye drop contains Olopatadine, which is a medicine for treating and controlling allergic conditions of the eye. It works in two different manners by reducing and controlling the intensity of the allergic reaction. Olopatadine eye drop is used for treating itchy eyes associated with seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic conjunctivitis refers to allergic reactions caused by materials (allergens) like pollens, house dust, or animal fur, resulting in itching, redness, and swelling of the surface of your eye.

How to use?

Do not use Olopatadine eye drop in children under 16 years old. The usual dose for adults is 1 drop in each affected eye once a day. If you are using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes before putting in Patanol eye drop and the other eye drops. If you are using an eye ointment, you should apply it last. If you are wearing soft contact lenses, wait at least 15 minutes after instilling Olopat to insert soft contact lenses back into the eye. Follow these steps to put in your eye drops: Tilt your head back and look up. With one hand, pull your lower eyelid down and away from your eyeball. This makes a "pocket" for the drops. With the other hand, hold the eye drop bottle upside down with the tip just above the pocket. Squeeze the prescribed number of eye drops into the pocket. Close your eye for at least 1 minute."
