Arcoxia is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. It acts as a highly selective and potent inhibitor of Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), an enzyme involved in the synthesis of pain, inflammation, and fever mediators. By inhibiting COX-2, Arcoxia effectively reduces the clinical signs and symptoms associated with these conditions, while exhibiting decreased gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity. Additionally, Arcoxia does not affect platelet function.
