Loratadine tablets are used to alleviate symptoms related to seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis. These symptoms may include sneezing, runny nose, nasal itching, as well as burning, itching, and watering of the eyes. Loratadine tablets are also effective in relieving symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria, which is characterized by hives and wheals on the skin.
How to use?
The recommended dosage for adults, including older people, and children over 12 years old is 10 mg once a day, which is equivalent to one tablet. For children aged 2 to 12 years old with a body weight over 30 kg, the recommended dosage is also 10 mg once a day (one tablet). However, it is not recommended to use this medication for children with a body weight of 30 kg or below, as well as for children under 2 years old. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a drink of water and can be taken with or without food.
