It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps in preventing strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Candesartan belongs to a class of drugs called Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels, thereby allowing blood to flow more easily. This medication is also utilized for treating heart failure. However, it is not recommended for use in children younger than 1 year old due to an increased risk of side effects.
How to use?
Take this medication orally with or without food, usually once or twice a day. The dosage is determined by your medical condition and response to treatment. As for children, the dosage is also based on their weight.

The other ingredients present in the tablet include carmellose calcium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch, macrogol, and iron oxide.
