Prescription LANTUS is a long-acting man-made insulin used to control high blood sugar in adults and children with diabetes mellitus.
How to use?
The recommended starting dose of Lantus® in patients with type 2 diabetes who are not currently treated with insulin is 0.2 Units/kg or up to 10 Units once a day, adjusted to the patient’s appropriate FPG target. One may need to adjust the amount and timing of short- or rapid-acting insulins and dosages of any oral anti-diabetic drugs.
